The LBC was built in an old wreck of a fire-station. It was a very important phase in the development of the FWBO. Much large amounts of funds than had previously been required had to be generated and this spawned several right-livelihood businesses. The actual dedication day was preceded by a week of activities, the program says "From 10am on Sat 25 Nov the main shrine room will be in continuous use, day and night, by relays of meditators from FWBO centres throughout Britain, until the dedication on Sunday Evening".
